1An Act to amend 20.505 (1) (ng) (title); and
to create 16.40 (23) and 20.505 (1)

relating to: proceeds from the sale of forest products at
3Badger Army Ammunition Plant and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current federal law authorizes the sale of forest products produced on land
owned or leased by a federal military department. The state in which the military
installation or facility from which the forest products are sold is located is entitled
to a portion of the proceeds of the sale. The state's share must be used to benefit the
public schools and public roads of the county in which the military installation or
facility is situated.
This bill appropriates all moneys received by the state under this federal law
from the sale of forest products at Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Sauk County
to the department of administration (DOA). The bill directs DOA to distribute 50%
of the amount received to the school districts located in Sauk County and the other
50% to Sauk County for the benefit of the public roads in that county.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
