2005 WISCONSIN ACT 224
An Act to create 121.54 (2) (e) of the statutes; relating to: transportation of public school pupils who live outside the school district in which they are enrolled.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
224,1 Section 1. 121.54 (2) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
121.54 (2) (e) Notwithstanding par. (a), if a pupil is living outside the school district in which he or she is enrolled because the pupil's parents or guardians have joint legal custody, as defined in s. 767.001 (1s), of the pupil, upon the request of the pupil's parent or guardian the school district shall transport the pupil to and from an agreed-upon location within the school district.
224,2 Section 2. Initial applicability.
(1) This act first applies to the transportation of pupils in the school year beginning after the effective date of this subsection.
