AB739,1,2 An Act to amend 101.123 (2) (e) 3. of the statutes; relating to: prohibiting smoking in motor vehicles in which children under the age of 16 are present.

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau

Current law prohibits smoking in most indoor locations, except private residences. Current law also prohibits smoking in public conveyance vehicles such as buses and trains. Under this bill, smoking is prohibited in any car or other motor vehicle in which a child under the age of 16 is present.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB739, s. 1 Section 1. 101.123 (2) (e) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB739,1,5 101.123 (2) (e) 3. A public conveyance or any other motor vehicle in which a child under the age of 16 is present.
