AB330,1,2 1An Act to create 84.07 (6) of the statutes; relating to: prohibiting the
2Department of Transportation from installing certain equipment on highways.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is authorized to spend moneys to
maintain state highways. Under this bill, DOT is prohibited from installing on any
highway overhead message boards, traffic cameras, or on-ramp gates.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB330,1 3Section 1. 84.07 (6) of the statutes is created to read:
AB330,1,64 84.07 (6) Installation of equipment. Notwithstanding sub. (1), s. 84.06 (13),
5and any other contrary provision of chs. 84 to 86, the department may not install on
6any highway any of the following:
AB330,1,77 (a) Overhead message boards.
AB330,1,88 (b) Traffic cameras.
AB330,2,1
1(c) On-ramp gates.
