2017 WISCONSIN ACT 308

An Act to amend 938.538 (3) (a) 1. of the statutes; relating to: time limit on a restrictive custody sanction under the Serious Juvenile Offender Program.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

308,1 Section 1. 938.538 (3) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:

938.538 (3) (a) 1. Subject to subd. 1m., placement in a Type 1 juvenile correctional facility or a secured residential care center for children and youth for a period of not more than 3 years.

308,2 Section 2. Initial applicability.

(1) This act first applies to a juvenile placed in the serious juvenile offender program on the effective date of this subsection.
