AB693-ASA2-AA2,1,4 21. Page 1, line 3: delete the material beginning with “right of" and ending with
3“circumstances." on line 5 and substitute “a revenue limit adjustment for certain
4school safety expenditures.”.
AB693-ASA2-AA2,1,6 52. Page 1, line 6: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
6page 4, line 24, and substitute:
AB693-ASA2-AA2,1,7 7 Section 1m. 121.91 (4) (s) of the statutes is created to read:
AB693-ASA2-AA2,1,128 121.91 (4) (s) 1. In this paragraph, “local law enforcement agency" means a
9governmental unit of one or more persons employed full time by a city, town, village,
10or county in this state for the purpose of preventing and detecting crime and
11enforcing state laws or local ordinances, employees of which unit are authorized to
12make arrests for crimes while acting within the scope of their authority.
12. The limit otherwise applicable to a school district under sub. (2m) in any
2school year is increased by an amount equal to $100 times the number of pupils
3enrolled in the school district or $40,000, whichever is greater, for the purpose of
4covering compensation costs associated with providing security officers in the school
5district, purchasing safety equipment, or improving school safety. The increase in
6the limit under this subdivision applies only if the school board and a local law
7enforcement agency have jointly developed a school safety expenditure plan,
8consistent with the school safety plan under s. 118.07 (4), that covers each school in
9the school district and that describes the manner in which the additional revenue
10shall be used, and the school board approves and submits the school safety
11expenditure plan to the state superintendent for the purpose of calculating the school
12district's revenue limit.
AB693-ASA2-AA2,2,1513 3. Any additional revenue received by a school district as a result of subd. 2.
14shall not be included in the base for determining the school district's limit under sub.
15(2m) for the following school year.

AB693-ASA2-AA2,2,1817 (1) School safety measures; revenue limit adjustment. This act first applies
18to the calculation of a school district's revenue limit for the 2018-19 school year.”.
