EXECUTIVE ORDER #250
Relating to a Special Session of the Legislature
WHEREAS, since 2011, Wisconsin has become a leader in providing a business climate that encourages research and development, technological innovation, and workforce development; and
WHEREAS, the 21st century workforce demands economic conditions that foster ingenuity, opportunity, and prosperity; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin’s current business climate makes it an excellent location to create an electronics and information technology manufacturing zone;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Scott Walker, Governor of the State of Wisconsin, pursuant to Article IV, Section 11, and Article V, Section 4, of the Wisconsin Constitution, do hereby require the convening of a special session of the Legislature at the Capitol in Madison, to commence at 11 a.m. on August 1, 2017, solely to consider and act upon the following legislation:
1. Legislation relating to promotion of economic development and job retention;
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Wisconsin to be affixed. Done at the Capitol in the City of Madison this twenty-eighth day of July, in the year two thousand seventeen.
