SPS 364.0918(1)(1) This is a department rule in addition to the requirements in IMC section 918.6: The outside air intake openings shall be located at least 12 inches vertical from the adjoining grade level.

SPS 364.1001 SPS 364.1001Boilers, water heaters and pressure vessels. Substitute the following wording for the requirements and exceptions in IMC chapter 10:
SPS 364.1001(1) (1) The provisions of ch. SPS 341 shall govern the installation, alteration and repair of boilers and pressure vessels. The provisions of chs. SPS 381 to 386 shall govern the installation, alteration and repair of water heaters.
SPS 364.1001(2) (2) Water heaters utilized both to supply potable hot water and provide hot water for space-heating applications shall be listed and labeled by the manufacturer and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions and applicable provisions in chs. SPS 381 to 386.
SPS 364.1001(3) (3) Water heaters utilized for both potable water heating and space-heating applications shall be sized to prevent the space-heating load from diminishing the required water-heating capacity.
