Are the Codes on this Website Official?

The Wisconsin Statutes do not use the word "official" in relation to the publication of the Administrative Code and, as such, "official" has no legal meaning when applied to publication of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.

Only the printed administrative code is accorded the statutory presumption of being prima facie evidence under ss. 889.01 and 990.07.

The Wisconsin Administrative Code presented in PDF format files on this website is an exact reproduction both as to content and format of the Legislative Reference Bureau (LRB) computer files used to produce the printed Wisconsin Administrative Code as updated through the publication of the Wisconsin Administrative Register noted on this website.

The HTML Administrative Code presented on this website is an exact reproduction of the content, except for certain tables and graphics as noted in those files, but not the format, of the LRB computer files used to produce the printed Wisconsin Administrative Code as updated through the publication of the Wisconsin Administrative Register noted on this website.

Currently, some of the chapters on this website are not identical to their printed counterparts because corrections have been made and notes added to the computer files reproduced here that have not been printed.
