The Department of Natural Resources announces that it will hold a public hearing on a permanent rule to revise ch. NR 1, relating to aquaculture and fish farms, at the time and place shown below.

Initial Regulatory Flexibility Analysis: These rules revise regulations impacting the aquaculture industry in a way that will likely produce economic benefits to the industry and the state economy. The rule may have a moderate economic impact on the aquaculture industry, but an exact amount of impact is unknown at this time. Any impact should be beneficial to the aquaculture industry.

The rule is not likely to impose new compliance or reporting requirements or design or operational standards.

The department will develop a preliminary economic impact analysis and hold a comment period pursuant to Governor’s Executive Order 50, Section IV, in fall 2018. Fiscal impacts on the department will also be summarized in this analysis.
