An Act to create 14.16 (12) of the statutes; relating to: directing the governor to annually proclaim February as African American History and Cultural Heritage Month.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
147,1 Section 1. 14.16 (12) of the statutes is created to read:
14.16 (12) African American History and Cultural Heritage Month. The governor shall annually proclaim February as African American History and Cultural Heritage Month as a way to recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of African Americans.
