2005 WISCONSIN ACT 445
An Act to renumber 118.019 (2m); to repeal and recreate 118.019 (2m) (title); and to create 118.019 (2m) (b) of the statutes; relating to: school district human growth and development programs.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
445,1 Section 1. 118.019 (2m) (title) of the statutes is repealed and recreated to read:
118.019 (2m) (title) Required subjects.
445,2 Section 2. 118.019 (2m) of the statutes is renumbered 118.019 (2m) (a).
445,3 Section 3. 118.019 (2m) (b) of the statutes is created to read:
118.019 (2m) (b) The school board shall ensure that instruction related to the areas under sub. (2) (e) does all of the following:
1. Presents abstinence from sexual activity as the preferred choice of behavior in relationship to all sexual activity for unmarried pupils.
2. Emphasizes that abstinence from sexual activity before marriage is the most effective way to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, including human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
445,4 Section 4. Effective date.
(1) This act takes effect on the July 1 after publication.
