2007 WISCONSIN ACT 218

An Act relating to: coverage of long-term care districts under the Wisconsin Retirement System.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

218,1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

(1) Participation of long-term care districts in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Notwithstanding section 40.21 (1) of the statutes, if the governing body of a long-term care district, created under section 46.2895 (1) of the statutes, as affected by 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, adopts a resolution to elect to become a participating employer under the Wisconsin Retirement System before May 15, 2008, and official notice of that election is received by the Department of Employee Trust Funds on or before May 15, 2008, the effective date of the participation of the long-term care district is July 1, 2008.
