2017 WISCONSIN ACT 48
An Act to create 69.30 (2m) of the statutes; relating to: authorizing certain county clerks and clerks of court to copy certified birth certificates for certain purposes.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
48,1 Section 1. 69.30 (2m) of the statutes is created to read:
69.30 (2m) A county clerk under s. 59.23 or a clerk of court under s. 59.40 who processes passport applications is not subject to s. 69.24 (1) (a) for copying a certified copy of a birth certificate, if provided to a person for submission with a passport application and the copy is marked “FOR PASSPORT USE ONLY".
