SB521-SA1,1,3 " Section 5m. 23.0955 (3) of the statutes is created to read:

SB521-SA1,1,13 23.0955 (3) The department may not provide a grant under sub. (2) unless the department first notifies the joint committee on finance in writing of the proposed grant. If the cochairpersons of the joint committee on finance do not notify the department, within 14 working days after the date of the notification by the department, that the committee has scheduled a meeting to review the proposed grant, the department may provide the grant as proposed by the department. If, within 14 working days after the date of the notification by the department, the cochairpersons of the committee notify the department that the committee has scheduled a meeting to review the proposed grant, the grant may be provided only upon approval of the committee.".
