SB57-SA3,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB57-SA3,1,4 21. Page 2, line 7: after "sentencing" insert "and actions affecting state
3employees in the office of the district attorney, the Public Defender Board, and the
4circuit courts".
SB57-SA3,1,5 52. Page 33, line 22: after that line insert:
SB57-SA3,1,6 6" Section 99m. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB57-SA3,1,87 (1) Actions affecting state employees in the office of the district attorney,
8the public defender board, and the circuit courts.
SB57-SA3,1,129 (a) In the interest of promoting public safety and convenience and the general
10welfare, the legislature declares that its intent is to prevent a lack of prosecutorial
11and defense bar counsel and state-supported court staff for the operation of the
12criminal justice system.

1(b) During the 2010-11 fiscal year, the director of the office of state employment
2relations may not take any action relating to requiring unpaid leaves of absence,
3imposing permanent or temporary layoffs, or eliminating the positions, or any part
4thereof, of any state employee in the office of the district attorney, the public defender
5board, or the circuit courts without the approval of the joint committee on finance.
6The joint committee on finance may only approve of such actions by a recorded, roll
7call vote.".
