4(1) Overtime for correctional officers. In the schedule under section 20.005
5(3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of corrections under
6section 20.410 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2011, the dollar amount
7is decreased by $1,688,200 for the first fiscal year of the fiscal biennium in which this
8subsection takes effect to decrease funding for overtime pay for correctional officers.
9In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the
10department of corrections under section 20.410 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by
11the acts of 2011, the dollar amount is decreased by $3,442,600 for the second fiscal
12year of the fiscal biennium in which this subsection takes effect to decrease funding
13for overtime pay for correctional officers.

1(2) Funding for additional correctional officers. In the schedule under
2section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of
3corrections under section 20.410 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2011,
4the dollar amount is increased by $2,418,900 for the first fiscal year of the fiscal
5biennium in which this subsection takes effect to increase the authorized FTE
6positions for the department by 65.0 GPR positions for correctional officers. In the
7schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the
8department of corrections under section 20.410 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by
9the acts of 2011, the dollar amount is increased by $3,254,400 for the second fiscal
10year of the fiscal biennium in which this subsection takes effect to provide funding
11for the positions authorized under this subsection.".

15(1) Section 99r of this act takes effect on the day after publication or the 2nd
16day after publication of the 2011-13 biennial budget act, whichever is later.".
