ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 216

AB216-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB216-AA1,1,3 1. Page 3, line 23: delete "policy:" and substitute "policy, except as provided in par. (f):".

AB216-AA1,1,4 2. Page 4, line 12: after that line insert:

AB216-AA1,1,5 " Section 8k. 632.895 (17) (f) of the statutes is created to read:

AB216-AA1,2,2 632.895 (17) (f) If requested by a religious employer, religious organization, or a religious institution of higher education, that is exempt under par. (e) from the contraceptive coverage requirement and that has a group disability insurance policy that does not provide the coverage described under par. (b), an insurer shall provide to the religious employer, religious organization, or religious institution under a group disability insurance policy coverage of any drug or device that may be classified as a contraceptive if it is prescribed for a medically necessary purpose other than preventing or terminating a pregnancy, if that group disability insurance policy generally provides coverage of prescription drugs or devices.".
