SENATE AMENDMENT 49, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 40

AB40-SA49,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute amendment 1, as follows:

AB40-SA49,1,3 1. Page 875, line 13: delete that line and substitute:

AB40-SA49,1,5 " Section 1535g. 84.014 (5r) of the statutes is renumbered 84.014 (5r) (intro.) and amended to read:

AB40-SA49,1,9 84.014 (5r) (intro.) Notwithstanding subs. (5) and (5m), no southeast Wisconsin freeway rehabilitation project may include the addition of any lane for vehicular traffic, on I 94 adjacent to Wood National Cemetery, between Hawley Road and the Stadium interchange, in Milwaukee County., any of the following:

AB40-SA49,1535r Section 1535r. 84.014 (5r) (a), (b) and (c) of the statutes are created to read:

AB40-SA49,1,11 84.014 (5r) (a) The addition of any lane for vehicular traffic.

AB40-SA49,1,13 (b) The building of elevated highway lanes above or near grade-level highway lanes in a double-deck configuration.

AB40-SA49,2,2 (c) The removal or relocation of any deceased person laid to rest in any nearby veterans cemetery including Wood National Cemetery.".
