AB782-AA4,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB782-AA4,1,2 21. Page 5, line 15: after that line insert:
AB782-AA4,1,8 3"(f) 1. Notwithstanding par. (a), a town, village, or city may enact and enforce
4an ordinance establishing minimum standards for constructing, altering, or adding
5to public buildings or buildings that are places of employment that are stricter than
6the applicable rules under sub. (15) (j) if the town, village, or city submits a petition
7to the building code council for authorization to enact and enforce such an ordinance
8and the building code council approves the petition.
AB782-AA4,1,129 2. The building code council may approve a petition under subd. 1. only if the
10council finds that the ordinance is necessary to address a concern that is specific to
11that town, village, or city and that relates to health, safety, welfare, or economic
12development.".
