1An Act to amend 227.137 (3) (c) of the statutes;

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This substitute amendment requires an economic impact analysis for a
proposed administrative rule to include an assessment of the impact that the
proposed rule will have on public health and the environment.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 227.137 (3) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

(3) (c) An analysis of the actual and quantifiable benefits of the
7proposed rule, including an assessment of how effective the proposed rule will be in
1addressing the policy problem that the rule is intended to address
and an assessment
2of the impact that the proposed rule will have on public health and the environment.

Economic impact analysis for proposed rule. This act first applies to a
5proposed administrative rule submitted to the legislative council staff under section
6227.15 of the statutes on the effective date of this subsection.
