ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 530

AB530-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB530-AA1,1,5 1. Page 2, line 3: delete the material beginning with "to be sponsored" and ending with "under s. 253.06" on line 4 and substitute "with federal moneys from the special supplemental food program for women, infants, and children authorized under 42 USC 1786".

AB530-AA1,1,10 2. Page 2, line 8: delete the material beginning with "If a federal waiver" and ending with "request" on line 10 and substitute "The department shall implement the program unless the federal department of agriculture disapproves the waiver request or the department is prohibited from using federal moneys to establish the program".

AB530-AA1,1,11 3. Page 2, line 11: on lines 11 and 17, delete "state".

AB530-AA1,1,12 4. Page 3, line 5: on lines 5, 9 and 20, delete "state".

AB530-AA1,2,2 5. Page 3, line 6: delete the material beginning with "as funded" and ending with "(em)" on line 7.

AB530-AA1,2,5 6. Page 3, line 10: delete "appropriation under s. 20.435 (1) (em)" and substitute "federal special supplemental food program for women, infants, and children authorized under 42 USC 1786".

AB530-AA1,2,10 7. Page 3, line 17: delete the material beginning with "shall, upon" and ending with "s. 253.06" on line 19 and substitute "shall agree to work at least 24 months for the department or a local agency as part of the supplemental food program for women, infants, and children under s. 253.06 upon successful completion of his or her internship".

AB530-AA1,2,11 8. Page 3, line 20: after "participant" insert "voluntarily".

AB530-AA1,2,12 9. Page 4, line 11: delete "state".

AB530-AA1,2,13 10. Page 4, line 19: after that line insert:

AB530-AA1,2,18 (1) The authorized FTE positions for the department of health services are increased by 1.0 FED position to be funded from the appropriation under section 20.435 (1) (n) of the statutes, for the purpose of administration of the internship program under section 253.065.".
