SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 742

AB742-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB742-SA1,1,6 1. Page 1, line 3: delete that line and substitute "transfer moneys to the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System for the purpose of increasing the number of opportunities available to students to gain work experience in their fields through internships or cooperative work experiences and making an appropriation.".

AB742-SA1,1,7 2. Page 2, line 1: delete " and, (1g), and (1r) and" and substitute "and (1g) and,".

AB742-SA1,1,10 3. Page 2, line 2: after "106.273" insert ", and for the transfer of $200,000 in fiscal year 2016-17 to the appropriation under s. 20.285 (1) (k) for the purposes specified in s. 36.25 (52) (am)".

AB742-SA1,1,12 4. Page 2, line 3: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with on page 3, line 10, and substitute:

AB742-SA1,1,13 " Section 1h. 36.25 (52) (am) of the statutes is created to read:

AB742-SA1,2,4 36.25 (52) (am) From the appropriation under s. 20.285 (1) (k), the board shall allocate $200,000 in fiscal year 2016-17 for programs that have as their objective increasing the number of opportunities available to students to gain work experience in their fields through internships or cooperative work experiences.

AB742-SA1,1j Section 1j. 36.25 (52) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB742-SA1,2,7 36.25 (52) (b) The board may award grants under par. (a) or (am) for the creation or expansion of programs, courses, or services for a period of up to 3 years.".
