ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 76

AB76-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB76-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 6: after "sports" insert "and granting rule-making authority".

AB76-AA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 14: after that line insert:

AB76-AA1,1,4 " Section 3g. 444.01 (1h) of the statutes is created to read:

AB76-AA1,1,7 444.01 (1h) "Boxing" means the act of attack and defense with the fists, using padded gloves, that is practiced as a sport under the rules described under s. 444.05, or other, comparable rules.

AB76-AA1,3r Section 3r. 444.01 (1j) of the statutes is repealed and recreated to read:

AB76-AA1,1,11 444.01 (1j) "Mixed martial arts fighting" means fighting that involves the use of a combination of techniques from different disciplines of martial arts, including grappling, kicking, and striking.".

AB76-AA1,1,12 3. Page 3, line 9: delete lines 9 to 11 and substitute:

AB76-AA1,2,4 "444.01 (5) "Unarmed combat sports" means any form of fighting in which the objective is for a contestant to injure, disable, or incapacitate one's opponent, but does not include any fighting in a contest for which the rules prohibit a contestant from striking an opponent's head.".

AB76-AA1,2,5 4. Page 3, line 12: delete lines 12 to 23.

AB76-AA1,2,6 5. Page 6, line 24: after that line insert:

AB76-AA1,2,7 " Section 17m. 444.095 (2) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB76-AA1,2,10 444.095 (2) (c) A At least one physician, or more at the discretion of the department, is present during each match to provide emergency care in the event of an injury.".

AB76-AA1,2,11 6. Page 8, line 1: delete "the physician" and substitute "the a physician".

AB76-AA1,2,12 7. Page 9, line 18: after that line insert:

AB76-AA1,2,13 " Section 27m. 444.22 of the statutes is created to read:

AB76-AA1,2,15 444.22 Rules. The department may promulgate any rules necessary to implement and enforce this chapter.".
