SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 143

SB143-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB143-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 3: after "technicians" insert ", certified respiratory care practitioners,".

SB143-SA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 7: after that line insert:

SB143-SA1,1,5 " Section 1p. 256.15 (4) (a) (intro.) and 1. of the statutes are amended to read:

SB143-SA1,1,8 256.15 (4) (a) (intro.) If a sick, disabled or injured individual is transported by ambulance, any of the following combinations of other individuals shall be present in the ambulance:

SB143-SA1,1,10 1. Any 2 emergency medical technicians, licensed registered nurses, licensed physician assistants or physicians, or any combination thereof; or.".

SB143-SA1,1,11 3. Page 2, line 10: after that line insert:

SB143-SA1,1,12 " Section 2d. 256.15 (4) (a) 3. of the statutes is created to read:

SB143-SA1,2,4 256.15 (4) (a) 3. If the ambulance is a fixed-wing airplane and the sick, disabled, or injured individual is a pediatric patient who is being transferred from one hospital to another hospital, one individual specified in subd. 1. plus one respiratory care practitioner certified under subch. II of ch. 448.".
