SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 324

SB324-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB324-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 3: delete lines 3 to 15 and substitute:

SB324-SA1,1,3 " Section 4g. 939.25 (3) of the statutes is created to read:

SB324-SA1,1,4 939.25 (3) This section does not apply to s. 948.21.".

SB324-SA1,1,5 2. Page 3, line 20: delete lines 20 to 23.

SB324-SA1,1,7 3. Page 4, line 5: on lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11, delete "Appropriate" and substitute "Adequate".

SB324-SA1,2,2 4. Page 4, line 14: delete the material beginning with "welfare who" and ending with "neglect and" on line 16 and substitute "welfare who, for reasons other than poverty, through action or failure to take action, negligently fails, or contributes to the failure, to provide the child with necessary care commits neglect, even if the child does not actually suffer from neglect if the natural and probable consequences of the act or failure would be that the child suffers from neglect. A person who commits neglect".

SB324-SA1,2,3 5. Page 5, line 20: delete "that is" and substitute "that was".

SB324-SA1,2,5 6. Page 5, line 21: delete that line and substitute "known or should have been known by the".
