AB109-AA7,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB109-AA7,1,2 1. Page 2, line 17: delete that line and substitute:

AB109-AA7,1,3 “ Section 4m. 60.23 (34) (b) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB109-AA7,1,12 60.23 (34) (b) 3. The ordinance enacted under par. (a) is approved either at the annual town meeting or in a referendum called by the town board for that purpose at the next spring or general election, to be held not sooner than 70 days after the referendum is called by the town board. Beginning 30 days before the annual town meeting or a referendum is held as described under this subdivision, the town shall publish a class 2 notice under ch. 985 to provide notice to area residents. To the greatest extent possible, one of the notices shall be published in the official state newspaper, and one of the notices shall be published in the local newspaper that is most likely to give residents of the town notice of the meeting or referendum.”.
