AB766-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB766-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 3: after “state" insert “; extending the time limit for emergency
3rule procedures; providing an exemption from emergency rule procedures;".
AB766-AA1,1,4 42. Page 3, line 22: after that line insert:
AB766-AA1,1,5 5 Section 5g. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB766-AA1,2,2 6(1) The medical examining board may promulgate emergency rules under
7section 227.24 of the statutes necessary to implement this act. Notwithstanding
8section 227.24 (1) (c) and (2) of the statutes, emergency rules promulgated under this
9subsection remain in effect until May 1, 2019, or the date on which permanent rules
10take effect, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding section 227.24 (1) (a) and (3) of the
11statutes, the examining board is not required to provide evidence that promulgating
12a rule under this subsection as an emergency rule is necessary for the preservation

1of the public peace, health, safety, or welfare and is not required to provide a finding
2of emergency for a rule promulgated under this subsection.
AB766-AA1,5r 3Section 5r. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the first day of the 7th
4month beginning after publication, except as follows:
AB766-AA1,2,5 5(1) Section 5g (1) of this act takes effect on the day after publication.”.
