SB216-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 5: after that line insert:

SB216-SA1,1,3 “ Section 4m. 66.0901 (13) of the statutes is created to read:

SB216-SA1,1,7 66.0901 (13) Requirements on bidders. (a) In soliciting a bid for a project of public works or a public utility project, the contracting agency, as defined in s. 103.503 (1) (c), shall give preference to a contractor whose principal place of business is located in this state.

SB216-SA1,1,10 (b) No bid on a project of public works or a public utility project may be received from any person who does not have a preference for, and whose subcontractors do not have a preference for, hiring employees who are residents of this state.”.
