SB403-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB403-SA1,1,3 21. Page 3, line 12: delete “or correctional" and substitute “, jail, or juvenile
3detention".
SB403-SA1,1,8 42. Page 3, line 13: after “recruits" insert “, but not for department of corrections
5correctional officers. The standards shall relate to the competence and reliability of
6persons to assume and discharge the responsibilities of law enforcement, tribal law
7enforcement, jail, or juvenile detention officers. The board shall prescribe the means
8for presenting evidence of fulfillment of these requirements".

8enforcement agency, as defined in s. 165.85 (2) (bv), shall keep an employment file,
9as defined in s. 165.85 (2) (ap), for each person the agency employs.
SB403-SA1,12s 10Section 12s. 940.203 (1) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB403-SA1,2,1311 940.203 (1) (c) “Law enforcement officer" has the meaning given in s. 102.475

165.85 (2) (c) and includes a person who formerly was a law enforcement officer
13under that definition.”.
