This bill requires DATCP and DNR, when preparing their annual grant allocation plan for making grants to counties to fund land and water conservation activities, to consider the existence of any impaired water bodies or agricultural enterprise areas, and to give priority to projects that are in or near, or that affect, those areas.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 92.14 (6) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
92.14
(6) (c) When preparing an annual grant allocation plan under par. (b), the department and the department of natural resources shall consider the existence and location of impaired water bodies that the department of natural resources has identified to the federal environmental protection agency under
33 USC 1313 (d) (1) (A) and agricultural enterprise areas designated under s. 91.84, and shall give priority to projects that are in or near, or that affect, those areas.
