This bill eliminates the requirement that DNR allocate $500,000 in each fiscal year for contracts for educational and technical assistance provided by the University of Wisconsin-Extension relating to the nonpoint source water pollution abatement program.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 281.65 (4g) of the statutes is amended to read:
281.65 (4g) The department may contract with any person from the appropriation account under s. 20.370 (4)
(9) (at) for services to administer or implement this section, including information and education and training services. The department shall allocate $500,000 in each fiscal year from the appropriation account under s. 20.370 (4) (at) for contracts for educational and technical assistance related to the program under this section provided by the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
