This bill specifies certain expedited processing fees for business entity filings with DFI. Under current law, corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, partnerships, and cooperatives make certain filings with DFI, and DFI must establish, by rule, fees for expedited processing of filings by these business entities. This bill specifies a DFI expedited processing fee of $500 for processing within one hour of filing and of $250 for processing within four hours of filing. The fee for any other expedited processing continues to be established by DFI by rule.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 178.0120 (2) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
178.0120 (2) (b) The department may collect an expedited service fee, established by rule, for processing in an expeditious manner a record required or permitted to be filed with the department under this chapter
, except that the fee to expedite processing to within one hour of filing shall be $500 and the fee to expedite processing to within 4 hours of filing shall be $250. Notwithstanding s. 178.0110, the $500 or $250 expedited processing fee, if applicable, applies to a partnership regardless of the date the partnership was formed.

2. 182.01 (4) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
182.01 (4) (d) Processing, in an expeditious manner, a document required or permitted to be filed with the department, except that the fee to expedite processing to within one hour of filing shall be $500 and the fee to expedite processing to within 4 hours of filing shall be $250.
