1995 Assembly Joint Resolution 67
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending Bruce Feustel on his service to the Wisconsin legislature and the Legislative Reference Bureau.
Whereas, Bruce Feustel has assumed a challenging new position with the National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver after more than 20 years of distinguished service as an attorney in the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau; and
Whereas, during his long tenure at the LRB, Bruce became a master in the difficult subjects of criminal law, corrections and the courts; and
Whereas, Bruce used his mastery of those subjects to provide wise counsel to many dozens of legislators; and
Whereas, Bruce also became an expert drafter and was able to use his considerable verbal and analytical abilities to produce legislation that accurately reflected his requesters' intent, regardless of the complexity of the tasks that they assigned him; and
Whereas, Bruce performed for the LRB many other valuable services, such as training inexperienced attorneys, aiding in the evaluation of prospective employes, providing counsel to the LRB's managers, and serving as a liaison to other state agencies; and
Whereas, dozens of former and present LRB employes owe Bruce gratitude for his unflagging friendship, his humanity, and his sensitivity to their needs; and
Whereas, Bruce has been active in the National Conference of State Legislatures: training attorneys, presiding over the legal services staff section, and serving as a member of the executive committee; and
Whereas, Bruce has also actively participated in the Madison community by counseling victims of childhood abuse, volunteering for the parental stress hotline and helping to organize and administer running events; and
Whereas, Bruce's concern for his family, friends, colleagues and others has made him a model for many to emulate; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin express their heartfelt gratitude to Bruce Feustel for his many years of excellent and conscientious service to them and to the Legislative Reference Bureau and wish him well; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint resolution to Bruce Feustel.
