ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Everett Haskell.
Whereas, Everett Haskell was born on September 19, 1920, in Manchester, South Dakota, and, at the age of 2, moved to Beloit, where he resided until his death on December 7, 1995; and
Whereas, he was first elected to the Beloit City Council in 1960; and
Whereas, he served the community as a member of the city council with great distinction and perfect attendance for over 30 years; and
Whereas, he was elected city council president 10 times; and
Whereas, his life has been an example of caring and unselfish service; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin salute Everett Haskell's remarkable record of public service, express their deep sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family, his friends and the community; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Everett Haskell's wife, Diana, and to his daughters, Jenny Clanton and Amy Russell.
