ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: creating a senate special committee on state and federal relations.
Resolved by the senate, That:
SR3, s. 1 Section 1. State and federal relations, special committee on. There is created a senate special committee, to be known as the "special committee on state and federal relations", consisting of 4 members of the majority party and 3 members of the minority party, appointed as are members of standing committees. The majority leader shall be the chairperson of the special committee and the minority leader shall be the vice chairperson of the special committee.
SR3, s. 2 Section 2. Review of proposals. Proposals may be referred to the special committee on state and federal relations. The special committee may submit its recommendations to the senate, including suggested legislation, if any, the same as proposals are referred to and reviewed by standing committees.
SR3, s. 3 Section 3. Special objective. The special committee on state and federal relations shall monitor the federal government's actions relating to unfunded mandates, the granting of waivers and federal legislation that impacts state government. The special committee shall lobby Wisconsin's congressional delegation and the federal administration on these and other issues of concern to this state.
SR3, s. 4 Section 4. Completion of objective. The special committee on state and federal relations may function until December 31, 1996.
