Senate Resolution 1
ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: recognizing the retirement of Moni Rohr and her many accomplishments on behalf of the Wisconsin state senate.
Whereas, Ramona Agnes Rohr was born to Charles and Gertrude Rohr on November 5, 1950, at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin; and
Whereas, Moni graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1972 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology; and
Whereas, Moni began her career on March 12, 1973, as a senate messenger; and
Whereas, on April 1, 1974, Moni became a legislative secretary for state Senator Schuele; and
Whereas, in January 1975 Moni joined the staff of the Office of the Senate Chief Clerk and has worked there, for the most part, ever since, overseeing the transition from the stone age of pencil and paper to the modern world of computerized spreadsheets; and
Whereas, Moni became the senate chief clerk's business manager and possesses professional wisdom and expertise of the financial and human resource functions of the Wisconsin state senate which has made her an incredible asset; and
Whereas, Moni has been an integral part of Wisconsin state senate operations for over 3 decades and has been an exemplary employee and has always excelled in her responsibilities and duties; and
Whereas, senators and staff alike will miss Moni's distinctive laugh, her famous expressions like, "You go girl," and the joy with which she approached her work; and
Whereas, the Wisconsin senate wishes Moni the best of luck in her retirement and thanks her for her years of dedicated service; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, That the members of the Wisconsin senate honor, salute, and commend Moni Rohr for her years of dedicated service to the senate and wish her many productive and enjoyable years in retirement; and, be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this resolution to Moni Rohr, her husband, George O. Kinsler, her mother, Gertrude Rohr, and her daughters, Martha Hanfeld and Katherine Fox.
