2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 59
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: creating a committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40, the executive budget bill of the 2007 legislature.
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That, upon the adoption of this joint resolution by the assembly and concurrence therein by the senate and notwithstanding joint rule 3, there is created a committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40, relating to state finances and appropriations, constituting the executive budget bill of the 2007 legislature, to reconcile the differences between the 2 houses and to present its report on the bill to the 2 houses; and
Be it further resolved, That, notwithstanding joint rule 3 (1), senate rule 20m, and assembly rule 3 (1) (j):
(1) The committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 shall consist of 4 members from each house, with 3 members from each house representing the majority party in that house and one member from each house representing the minority party in that house.
(2) (a) The senate members of the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 representing the majority party shall be appointed by the president of the senate and the senate member representing the minority party shall be appointed by the senate minority leader.
(b) The assembly members of the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 representing the majority party shall be appointed by the speaker of the assembly and the assembly member representing the minority party shall be appointed by the assembly minority leader.
(3) The report by the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 must be supported by the votes of at least 3 of the 4 members representing each house.
