ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and service of Sergeant Luke J. Zimmerman of the United States Marine Corps, who lost his life during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Whereas, on October 27, 2006, Sergeant Luke J. Zimmerman, of Luxemburg, Wisconsin, a member of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, United States Marine Corps, died while serving his country in Al Anbar province, Iraq; and
Whereas, Sergeant Zimmerman provided faithful and honorable service to the people of the state of Wisconsin and the people of the United States of America; and
Whereas, the people of Wisconsin mourn the death of Sergeant Zimmerman; and
Whereas, Sergeant Zimmerman is survived by his parents, Claire Dombrowski and Richard Dombrowski, Jr., of Luxemburg, brother, Leonardo Zimmerman, stepsisters, Brooke and Toni Dombrowski, grandfather, Alfred Dennisen, of Green Bay, and stepgrandmother, Rosemary Gagnon, of Green Bay; and
Whereas, Sergeant Zimmerman was laid to rest on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin commemorates the remarkable life of Sergeant Luke J. Zimmerman and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues; and be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to Sergeant Zimmerman's parents, Claire and Richard Dombrowski, of Luxemburg, his brother, Leonardo Dombrowski, his stepsisters, Brooke and Toni Dombrowski, his grandfather, Alfred Dennisen, of Green Bay, and his stepgrandmother, Rosemary Gagnon, of Green Bay.
