AB208,1,3 1An Act to repeal 13.47; and to amend 13.48 (2) (a) of the statutes; relating to:
2eliminating the joint legislative state supported programs study and advisory
3committee.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, there is a joint legislative state supported programs study
and advisory committee which is required to visit and inspect all institutions and
office buildings owned or leased by the state and the capitol building.
This bill eliminates this committee.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB208, s. 1 4Section 1. 13.47 of the statutes is repealed.
AB208, s. 2 5Section 2. 13.48 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB208,2,86 13.48 (2) (a) There is created a building commission consisting of the governor,
7who shall serve as chairperson, and 3 senators and 3 representatives to the assembly
8appointed as are the members of standing committees in their respective houses.
9The 2 major political parties shall be represented in the membership from each
10house. One legislator from each house shall be a member of the state supported

1programs study and advisory committee created by s. 13.47.
One citizen member
2shall be appointed by the governor to serve at the governor's pleasure. The secretary,
3head of the engineering function, and ranking architect of the department of
4administration shall be nonvoting advisory members. The building commission
5shall bear a title beginning with the words "State of Wisconsin". The members shall
6be liable only for misconduct. Nonlegislator members of the building commission
7shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses, incurred as members of the
8building commission, from the appropriation under s. 20.505.
