relating to: operation of personal water
2craft on certain lakes.

Current law prohibits the operation of motorboats, including personal water
crafts, at a speed above slow-no-wake on a lake having public access that is 50 acres
or less in size unless the lake serves as a thoroughfare between 2 or more lakes. If
the department of natural resources (DNR) finds that public safety will not be im
paired, DNR may modify or waive the prohibition by rule. This bill prohibits the op
eration of personal watercraft on any lake that is 300 acres or less in size.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
