AB829,1,2 1An Act to repeal 16.20 (10) (cm); and to amend 16.20 (10) (c) of the statutes;
2relating to: wages for Wisconsin conservation corps crew leaders.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law provides that regional crew leaders, crew leaders and assistant
crew leaders of crews under the Wisconsin conservation corps may be paid not more
than twice the minimum wage. Current law grandfathers in the wages of crew
leaders that exceeded this wage cap on July 29, 1995, and authorizes the Wisconsin
conservation corps board to waive the wage cap for regional crew leaders. This bill
eliminates this wage cap and the grandfathering and waiver provisions.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
