This bill authorizes a school board to impose conditions on the reinstatement
of a pupil who has been expelled from school. The conditions must be related to the
reasons for the pupil's expulsion and must be specified in the expulsion order.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB980, s. 1 4Section 1. 119.25 (2) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
AB980,1,95 119.25 (2) (c) An independent hearing panel or independent hearing officer
6appointed by the board may impose conditions on the reinstatement of a pupil who
7has been expelled from school under par. (a) if the conditions are related to the
8reasons for the pupil's expulsion and are specified in the expulsion order under par.
9(b).
AB980, s. 2 10Section 2. 120.13 (1) (h) of the statutes is created to read:

12hearing officer acting under par. (e), may impose conditions on the reinstatement of

1a pupil who has been expelled from school if the conditions are related to the reasons
2for the pupil's expulsion and are specified in the expulsion order under par. (c) 3. or
3(e) 3.
