AR14,1,2 1To amend assembly rule 39 (4) (c); relating to: time for publishing referrals of
2proposals.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
The assembly rules require the chief clerk to publish a referral of a proposal
within 7 working days after the office of the chief clerk receives the proposal for
introduction. This resolution requires that the referral, instead, be published in the
first journal published after the referral is made.

AR14, s. 1 4Section 1. Assembly rule 39 (4) (c), as created by 1995 Assembly Resolution
52, is amended to read:
AR14,1,116 Assembly Rule 39 (4) (c) The speaker shall refer a properly jacketed proposal
7within 7 working days after the office of the chief clerk receives the proposal for
8introduction or on the final legislative day of the last scheduled floorperiod preceding
9the veto review session, whichever is earlier. The chief clerk shall publish the
10referral within those 7 working days in the first journal published after the referral
11is made
