SB126,1,2 1An Act to create 15.647 (2) and 565.017 of the statutes; relating to: the creation
2of a lottery retailers council.

This bill creates a lottery retailers council that consists of 5 members who are
lottery ticket retailers, appointed by the governor for 3-year terms. The lottery
retailers council is responsible for advising the gaming commission on all matters
relating to the operation of the state lottery.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB126, s. 1 3Section 1. 15.647 (2) of the statutes is created to read:
SB126,1,64 15.647 (2) Lottery retailers council. There is created in the gaming
5commission a lottery retailers council consisting of 5 retailers, as defined in s. 565.01
6(6), appointed for 3-year terms.
SB126, s. 2 7Section 2. 565.017 of the statutes is created to read:
SB126,1,10 8565.017 Lottery retailers council. The lottery retailers council shall advise
9the commission on all matters relating to the operation of the state lottery under this
10chapter.

1Section 3. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB126,2,8 2(1)  Lottery retailers council. Notwithstanding the lengths of terms
3prescribed for members of the lottery retailers council under section 15.647 (2) of the
4statutes, as created by this act, one initial member of the lottery retailers council
5shall be appointed for a term expiring on July 1, 1996, 2 initial members of the lottery
6retailers council shall be appointed for terms expiring on July 1, 1997, and 2 initial
7members of the lottery retailers council shall be appointed for terms expiring on July
81, 1998.
