Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill places in the statutes that part of joint rule 51 of the legislature which
authorizes certain persons to submit drafting requests to the legislative reference
bureau (LRB), but removes LRB drafting privileges from those agencies of Wisconsin
state government which are not created in certain chapters of the statutes.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB101, s. 1 4Section 1. 13.92 (1) (b) 1. of the statutes is renumbered 13.92 (1) (b) 1. (intro.)
5and amended to read:
AB101,1,86 13.92 (1) (b) 1. (intro.) Prepare in the proper form all legislation to be
7introduced in the legislature. Only the following persons may use the drafting
8services of the bureau for this purpose:

1Section 2. 13.92 (1) (b) 1. a. to c. of the statutes are created to read:
AB101,2,32 13.92 (1) (b) 1. a. Any member or member-elect of the legislature and, on behalf
3of each committee thereof, the chairperson.
AB101,2,44 b. Any agency, as defined in s. 16.70 (1), created under ch. 13, 14, 15 or 758.
AB101,2,65 c. The chief clerk of either house of the legislature for requests pertaining to
6the operation of the legislature.
