AB314,1,2 1An Act to create 63.275 of the statutes; relating to: the eligibility of certain
2employes of 1st class cities to take general promotional examinations.

This bill specifically authorizes, for 1st class cities (presently only Milwaukee),
all members of the fire and police departments, and certain employes of 1st class
cities who are not members of the classified service, to take general promotional
examinations that are given by or for the city service commission if these persons are
otherwise qualified to take such examinations.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB314, s. 1 3Section 1. 63.275 of the statutes is created to read:
AB314,2,2 463.275 General promotional examinations. All members of the fire and
5police departments and all city employes who are not subject to the general rules
6prepared under this chapter by the city service commissioners under s. 63.27 are
7eligible to take any general promotional examination that is given or administered

1by, or conducted for, the city service commission if such persons are otherwise
2qualified to take such an examination.
