AB550,1,3 1An Act to amend 66.11 (4) of the statutes; relating to: the annual compensation
2of volunteer fire fighters and emergency medical technicians who are eligible
3to hold elective office.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a volunteer fire fighter or emergency medical technician in
a city, village or town whose annual compensation, including fringe benefits, does not
exceed $2,500 may also hold an elected office in that city, village or town. This bill
increases the maximum allowable annual compensation to $5,000.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB550, s. 1 4Section 1. 66.11 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB550,2,25 66.11 (4) Compatible offices and positions. A volunteer fire fighter or
6emergency medical technician in a city, village or town whose annual compensation,

1including fringe benefits, does not exceed $2,500 $5,000 may also hold an elected
