AB488,1,2 1An Act to amend 167.31 (2) (d); and to create 167.31 (4) (g) of the statutes;

Under current law, with certain exceptions, no person may shoot an arrow from
a bow from or across a highway or within 50 feet of the center of a roadway. This bill
permits a person to shoot an arrow from a bow within 50 feet of the center of a
roadway if the person does so while fishing with a bow and arrow. The bill does not
affect the current law provision that prohibits a person from shooting an arrow from
a bow from or across a highway.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB488, s. 1 3Section 1. 167.31 (2) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB488,1,64 167.31 (2) (d) Except as provided in sub. (4) (a), (cg) and, (e) and (g), no person
5may discharge a firearm or shoot a bolt or an arrow from a bow or crossbow from or
6across a highway or within 50 feet of the center of a roadway.
AB488, s. 2 7Section 2. 167.31 (4) (g) of the statutes is created to read:

1167.31 (4) (g) Subsection (2) (d) does not apply to a person who, while fishing
2with a bow and arrow, shoots an arrow from a bow within 50 feet of the center of a
3roadway if the person is not shooting the arrow from or across a highway.
