AB753,1,3 1An Act to create 180.1901 (1m) (at) of the statutes; relating to: including
2dentists and dental hygienists as health care professionals for the purpose of
3forming service corporations.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, service corporations may be organized by one or more
natural persons who are licensed, certified or registered under state law if all of the
persons have the same license, certificate or registration. If the persons forming a
service corporation are "health care professionals", however, they may form a service
corporation even though they do not have the same license, certificate or registration.
Current law, for the purpose of forming a service corporation, defines "health care
professional" to include a wide variety of professionals in the health care profession,
but does not include dentists and dental hygienists in the definition of "health care
professional".
This bill provides that dentists and dental hygienists are included within the
definition of "health care professional" for the purpose of forming service
corporations.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
